Nicole Levy

Nicole Levy is the owner of Baikal and has been developing handbags and accessories for the last 21 years. She has worked with brands at all different stages - from established brands to smaller startups. She particularly likes taking an idea and making it real, as the customer imagined in their mind, or even better.

A few noted accomplishments are:

Rebecca Minkoff with her first sample in 2005, the Morning After Bag. From that first bag, Nicole worked with Rebecca to create new samples and duplicate samples, starting with small production runs until she grew to a multi-million dollar business. For 8 Years Nicole produced her samples for trade shows, exclusives for stores, production orders, sourcing of materials, etc.

Tech Integration. Many new ideas are coming about that integrate tech and fashion. Nicole has been involved with several products that use technology to create accessories. 3D printing, laser cutting, light and movement integration, screens, etc. She likes taking on new challenges and is open to new processes.

No matter how big or small your project is, or what stage you are in the process, Nicole is there to help you get to where you want to be. She has also opened a China production wing to the business, for the clients that need more competitive pricing than the USA can offer. From her exhaustive experience helping hundreds of brands over the years, she can use her knowledge to help you make fewer mistakes along the way and use her resources.

Shivali Lulla

Shivali Lulla is a product developer at Baikal. Curating the experience of creating a beautiful, practical, and desirable product is Shivali's passion. Over more than 12 years in fashion, she is known for her attention to detail, skill in selecting materials, good taste, and ability to transform ideas into market-ready products.

Shivali is especially good at customer service and attention to detail. She will work to make sure every detail of your design is paid attention to and the quality is as expected. She is available and always willing to help, make changes, and offer suggestions and sources. She will also manage your project to make sure all details are followed by the workers.

Shivali attended the Parsons School of Design and majored in Anthropology at Mount Holyoke College. She is a bilingual English/Spanish speaker, conversant in Hindi/Mandarin, and a proud mom of 3 young boys with whom she enjoys sharing her love of creating beautiful objects.
